Episode 1 - What is a 5K?
Update: 2019-05-05
Description
SHOW NOTES
In simplest terms, a 5K refers to a 5-kilometer (or 5 km) race. And, 5 kilometers is roughly equal to 3.1 miles.
If you want to see the “Runner’s World” magazine article I referred to in the podcast episode, click here.
If you want to check out the Hot Chocolate 5K race in Chicago that I mentioned, click here.
If you don’t remember anything else, a 5K: 1) is a great first-time race due to its short distance (relative to the longer race distances), 2) tends to be beginner-friendly because it often has a lot of fellow first-timers, and 3) has the most participants in the United States (out of all the race distances)!
