Lt: Žiema buvo šalta, kaip visad Vilniuje, ir šventinės šviesos jau mirgaliavo ant gatvės medžių.
En: Winter was cold, as always in Vilnius, and the holiday lights were already twinkling on the street trees.

Lt: Rūta sėdėjo savo mažame, jaukiame, bet daiktų prigrūstame kambaryje.
En: Rūta sat in her small, cozy, but cluttered room.

Lt: Ji laikė savo mėgstamą mikrofoną -- iš tiesų tai buvo tik senas plaukų šepetys, bet jai šis mažas triukas padėdavo įsijausti.

Lt: „Eik, Rūtele, mokykloje visad smagiau, nei klausytis tėvų retorikos konkurse,“ juokdamasis jis tarė.
En: "Come on, Rūtele, school is always more fun than listening to our parents' rhetoric contest," he said, laughing.

Lt: Trumpam, Rūta šyptelėjo.
En: For a moment, Rūta smiled.

Lt: Visgi, mintys apie scenoje stovėjimą privertė jos skrandį susitraukti.
