April is US Financial Literacy Month. Nidhi Nair and Bridget Abril, Founders of Financial Literacy Week at the University of Connecticut spoke with Karen Talamelli Cusick, Exec. Vice President of ImpactWayv about financial literacy.


 Nair and Abril are answering a desire for financial literacy among their peers as Ms. Nair’s extensive research identified. As well as hosting the first Financial Literacy Week (April 3-7) on campus, the two are using the data to argue before the Connecticut state legislature for the need for better financial literacy in high school.


Nidhi Nair (’23) is UConn’s first Schwarzman Scholar. Bridget Abril looks forward to continuing the initiative as an annual event on the University of Connecticut campus.
