ImpactWayv Podcast Series - Making An Impact: Episode 21, Featuring Lorraine Bracco, Actor & Producer
Description
Lorraine Bracco, Award-Winning Actor and Producer, speaks with Dan Rubino, Co-Founder and Chairman of ImpactWayv, about her impressive and impactful body of work, both in the entertainment industry and in philanthropy.
In particular, we discuss her work with The Felix Organization, the grassroots non-profit that enriches the lives of children growing up in the foster care system and in at-risk environments.
Ms. Bracco will be awarded the 2023 Felix Dream Maker Award on May 21st at the annual Walk This Way walkathon at Hudson River Park’s Pier 62 in NYC. The Felix Organization was co-founded by Sheila Jaffe and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels 17 years ago. Lorraine has been there from the start, going the extra mile to help children in the foster care system realize their dreams.
Our wide-ranging discussion also includes her iconic roles in The Sopranos and Goodfellas, as well as her breakout role in Someone To Watch Over Me and her intense performance in the recently-released Jacir. Bracco modestly tells us, “I've been very fortunate. I've been able to be in this business for a couple of decades and have a couple of good home runs.”
