Captivation Question: Can God use a mistake to make a blessing?

Isaac was born from a promise. But he needed a wife, so God guided those around him to the right person: Rebekah. Isaac struggled with Abimelech, the same way his father Abraham did. Why didn't he allow God to guide his actions in that situation? Isaac was tricked into giving his youngest son the birthright. Yet God was guiding him here as well.

Time after time, when things looked bleak, when mistakes were made, God provided for Isaac. Isaac remained faithful that God could use his mistakes for a blessing. How does this reflect to us today? How can we have faith that God can use evil for good?
