Description

"If you can write you can read and I’m going to help you do both"

The featured guest today is Logan Mauldin with his mother, Angela Mauldin. Logan is an up and coming, 17-year-old King. This King has evolved from a prince and has matured at a very early age. He shared his appreciation that both his parents provide. His father has offered him lessons that have benefited him to this day. Logan is a gentle giant who stands six feet three inches and weighs two hundred twenty pounds. He meditates and reflects on life to align himself when he finds himself out of balance. His temperament and introspection are well beyond his age. He values spending alone time to speak with the Most-High, to give thanks for his many blessings.

Logan proceeds to share with the audience how his mother has been instrumental in his life. He talks about her consistency, her positive energy, and how it encourages him to believe and reassures him to persevere when life gets tough.

Angela shares how she knew that before Logan was born, that he was destined for greatness, which is what the Most-High had ordained and told her. She talked about her responsibility for preparing this amazing young man. Angela gave him a framework and provided him freedom within the structure to excel. She provided energy, support, relationship, and encouragement to understand he could do anything. During the episode, you could see the special bond that mom and son share.

Mom supported Logan when he was seven years old and told her he wanted to write a book. Logan was inspired to write this book due to his observation of inequity in reading support between males and females in school. He didn't stop at his first book. He also created reading workshops in the school, a nonprofit organization, and then his second book.

Logan describes himself as a mature young man who was disciplined and sacrificed time to address the reading disproportionality between males and females. He recommends paying attention to those who are supportive of your dreams instead of pessimistic people.

This young man wasn't satisfied with just writing the book. I was amazed at his energy, passion, and conviction to serve the youth in the school through reading programs that built confidence, vocabularies, and competence.

The title of Logan's books are: Step up your Game, and Life of a King. The books were written when Logan was 7-8 years old and 11-12 years old.

Logan is a scholar and athlete. Logan is a gifted tight end at Myers Park High School standing 6'3". However, what's most important about this young man is his desire to help others and make the world a better place. Logan is a special young man.
