Description

This first series (total six episodes) addresses the coronavirus pandemic, globalization and climate change with some theological perspectives thrown in.
OUTLINE OF KEY IDEAS
1.  In response to the current pandemic, we've first addressed immediate questions, logistical ones
2.  And we're beginning to consider larger questions: when will the next pandemic happen  Will we be better prepared?
3.  To make wise decisions in a time of crisis, we need two kinds of information:
(a) the information that comes from science
(b) the motivational interpretation that comes from the values we find in religion, the arts, and education
4.  While some people value only one, we need both.  Science and religion are not enemies.
QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION
Do you think science and religion/art/education are two side of one coin? or different coins?
Do we need to include both when we face a crisis such as this pandemic?
