Definitions to know



  • Waheguru – feeling amazed (Wahe); in awe of God – who is the ultimate Guru (Gu- darkness; Ru – light; God enlightens us through word/wisdom)

  • Nirvair – without enemies; God has no enemies

  • Sarbat dha bhalla – a core concept in Sikhism where we wish well and empowerment for all of humanity

  • Guru Nanak - the first of the 10 Sikh Gurus
