#PODCAST Back-to-School Santa Shoe Box Drive returns to assist learners with stationery ahead of the 2022 academic year

By Newsbreak Producer Taliesha Naidoo - Being prepared for school with the right stationery will offer a better learning experience for a child. That's according to Ghairunisa Johnstone-Cassiem, director of Mustadafin Foundation, which will be hosting the annual "Back-to-School Santa Shoe Box Drive". The initiative aims to assist 500 children from low-income communities in the Western Cape with stationery for the upcoming academic year. Since the first drive in 2015, the Foundation has helped over 3,000 learners start their school year with brand new stationery. Johnstone-Cassiem says the school stationery list is too demanding, especially for underprivileged children...
