By Newsbreak Producer Genevieve Lanka - Independent Energy Analyst - Kenny Andrew - says City Power in Johannesburg should use the added capacity it acquired through an independent power provider, to supplement electricity supply to its consumers during load-shedding. Eskom confirmed that City Power has requested to be partially excluded from load-shedding. City Power recently concluded an additional capacity power purchase agreement with the Kelvin Power Station, securing an additional power supply capacity of 220 MW. Andrew says City Power's request seems strange, as it should be using its additional power to buffer the current issues around load-shedding...
