Quick Tip - How To Get Protein In Your Diet For Fat Loss

Vegan? Vegetarian? Intuitive eater? Shooting for 40/30/30 (c/p/f) macros and seem to always fall short? If your protein macros tends to land around 20-23% no matter what, you may wanna give this a try:
Shoot for equal amounts of carb and protein at each meal. By trying to find a literal balance between the two, you'll find that you almost naturally land right at 40/30/30.
This helps if you are vegetarian, vegan, or even an intuitive eater (or fellow carbaholic ;P ) that feels like your chosen style of eating simply will never lend to the balanced 40/30/30 recommendation.
Using this technique, vegans/vegetarians can better understand how to select the foods that will best serve their fat loss macros.
Focusing on trying to keep the carb/protein balance will bring more awareness to each meal, and further help those that strive to eat intuitively. It helps us stay away from the "bakery" mentality (coffee and a danish is not a "balanced" meal), and get back to well rounded eating habits (coffee, danish AND eggs/breakfast meat/milk, etc).
If you're eating a high carb meal, try to add a carbless protein to it to round it out. Remember, it's not always about what needs to be removed. Look for ways to bring better balance to each meal, and in no time, you'll be nailing your macros with hardly any effort!
