Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه
(S15)
Talha and 11 men from the Ansar رضي الله عنهم form a ring around The Messenger ﷺ. One by one they step forward to defend The Messenger ﷺ whilst heading towards mount Uhud. All 11 men from the Ansar رضي الله عنهم were martyred. One of these men was Ziyad Ibn al-Sakan رضي الله عنه.
The Messenger ﷺ: “On the day of Uhud, I looked to my right and saw Jibraaeel (a.s). I looked to my left and saw Talha [رضي الله عنه]”.
The Messenger ﷺ: “Should you [i.e Talha رضي الله عنه] have any difficulties on The Day of Judgement, Jibraaeel (a.s) told me that he himself will come to your aid”. This was due to the aid and defence Talha رضي الله عنه gave to The Messenger ﷺ.
