The Messenger ﷺ: “If anyone wants the pleasure of seeing a martyr walking on the Earth, look at Talha”. (رضي الله عنه).
Some reports mention 14 men (رضي الله عنهم) were with The Messenger ﷺ, some say it was 12, 11, 7. There is no contradiction: the numbers differ as when needs rose, some (رضي الله عنهم) broke away and then returned later. There was 7 Muhajireen and 7 Ansar رضي الله عنهم.
Abu Talha رضي الله عنه gets drowsy during Uhud: this was a blessed gift sent from Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى showing His pleasure. Others رضي الله عنهم felt it too.
Abu Talha رضي الله عنه is not to be confused with Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه. Abu Talha’s name is Zayd Ibn Sahl رضي الله عنه. He was an elite warrior, Badri, paired brother of Abu Ubaydah رضي الله عنه, he married Umm Sulaym, Anas’s mother رضي الله عنهم.
