S25 - Talha Ibn Ubaydullah (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ: “Love for wealth grows hypocrisy in your heart, just as water grows vegetation”.
Update: 2025-10-14
Description
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه
(S25)
Qabeesa (r.h): “I saw no one more learned in the Qur’an than Umar رضي الله عنه. He was the most discerning. No one was more generous than Talha رضي الله عنه. He gave without being asked. Muawiya رضي الله عنه was the most forbearing. He is inwardly as he is outwardly. I saw Amr Ibn al-Aas رضي الله عنه. None is gentler or nobler than he. If there was a city with 8 gates, al-Mugheera Ibn Shu’ba رضي الله عنه would figure out how to get out of each one [i.e a sly genius]”.
Talha رضي الله عنه: “I feel shy that a man loses hope in me and I let him down”.
Abundant Zhikr and Sadaqah: these 2 deeds build a special link with Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى.
The Messenger ﷺ: “Love for wealth grows hypocrisy in your heart, just as water grows vegetation”.
