This week we are thrilled to welcome the Chief Technology Officer of Paramount Streaming, Vibol Hou.  As CTO, Vibol leads a team of thousands to constantly innovate and push the family of Paramount Streaming products forward, including Paramount+ and Pluto.  While at stimTV, Hou's team was awarded a coveted Technology & Engineering Emmy Award®.  He has also authored 11 patents over his twenty years in technology.   His personal life and career journey is remarkable and one we can all be inspired by.

Paramount+ is a truly amazing conglomeration of everything that has made Paramount Studio, CBS and all of the affiliated companies so successful for so many years.  As Jayzen talks about this week, they figured out how to hit the “easy” button for their audience by taking the best of the best and creating a platform for audiences that just makes sense.  The same is true in your career.  It isn’t always about doing something brand new, it's about knowing what you’re great at and making it easy for your career audience to know the value that you bring, and being able to showcase your skills regardless of the project that you're on or position that you have.

Vibol Hou

EVP, Chief Technology Officer, Paramount Streaming

Vibol Hou is the EVP, Chief Technology Officer at Paramount Streaming where he oversees all Streaming technology and engineering efforts. Previously Hou served as CTO of Pluto TV where he led a diverse and global team charged with architecting, building and operating the technology behind Pluto TV. Hou has authored 11 patents and has two decades of experience working in various technology leadership roles at companies like stimTV, Demand Media and SpinMedia. In 2007, as an architect and engineering leader behind the technology for stimTV, Hou's team was awarded a coveted Technology & Engineering Emmy Award® for Best Use of “On Demand” Technology by the National Technology of Television Arts & Sciences. Hou earned a degree in Cognitive Science from the University of California, San Diego.
