Description

Can suicidal bravery and fanatical determination make up for material, industrial and numerical insufficiency? As the Asia-Pacific conflict turns against the Japanese these questions are put to the test. The results are nightmarish.

The number of times I cried and gasped and held my head in my trembling hands with the series escapes me. I just know that I can listen to every single episode a hundred more times before I'm on my deathbed. Amazing work, Dan! You really are the GOAT.

Less than 4 hours...? What is this 2010? Can you redux with some more tangential details please? Just kidding, thank you for distilling these gigantic events down for us. I know you say you aren't a historian, but you make all of your listeners smarter and provide context into how our modern world came into being. I can't thank you enough. I will give you a dollar.

I keep remembering all those people who were fascinated by ww2 and the tanks and the planes and they were always so excited to talk about the Western Front but they knew almost nothing about the Eastern Front. The amount of pure human suffering that occurred in this war is incalculable.
