Tarot and Aquamarine
Description
Welcome back to Every Day Tarot, your daily dive into the wisdom of the cards. Season 15 is all about tarot and crystals, and today’s spotlight is on Aquamarine.
Known as the stone of the sea, Aquamarine is tied to purification, courage, and clear communication. Its soothing blue-green light has guided sailors across oceans, supported healers in their rituals, and invited seekers to dive deep into the mysteries of the self.
In this episode, we explore its myth, magic, and its resonance with tarot archetypes of clarity, devotion, and divine feminine wisdom.

Aquamarine: Myth, Magic & Meaning
Aquamarine’s name means “sea water,” and its gentle hues mirror ocean waves. For centuries, it has been carried by sailors for safe passage, revered by healers for its purifying powers, and chosen by mystics as a tool for scrying.
In sacred traditions, aquamarine is associated with the Ocean Mother archetype, such as Yemaya, Saraswati, and Tethys. Aquamarine carries the blessings of the Great Mother, nourishing us with peace while guiding us through transformation.
In magical practice, aquamarine has been used to:
Purify energy and release stagnant patterns
Enhance communication and truthful expression
Deepen clairvoyance and intuition
Protect travelers, especially across water
Promote peace, stress relief, and healing
Astrologically, Aquamarine is associated with the Moon, Neptune, and Venus, and resonates strongly with the zodiac signs Pisces and Taurus. Aligned with the element of Water, this crystal embodies both the gentleness and the depth of flowing tides.
Aquamarine & the Tarot
Aquamarine’s gentle, oceanic energy finds its reflection in several tarot archetypes. It carries the healing flow and serenity of The Star, the abundant creativity of The Empress, and the deep emotional wisdom of the Queen of Cups. Its grounding yet nurturing qualities also echo the Queen of Pentacles, while the Two of Cups highlights its themes of harmony, partnership, and heartfelt connection. Finally, the dreamy intuition of The Moon mirrors aquamarine’s ability to clear away illusions and reveal hidden truths.
