Update: 2020-10-29
Description
I want to go over definitions and simple explanations and examples of tasks, projects, and goals. By looking at the definitions, we can understand what each word means and start building on how they all work together.
When you realize the simplicity of a goal is just a bunch of small tasks, it helps you break it down into actionable steps. Then, when you throw in an added level of projects, it can make the path to achieving your goals clearer.

Tasks: The definition of a task is a piece of work to be done or undertaken. The key here is a piece of work. A piece of work is one single thing that needs to be done, and it is clearly defined.
Projects: The definition of a project is an individual or collaborative enterprise that is carefully planned and designed to achieve a particular aim. Projects contain multiple pieces of work that need to be done. We just learned that these individual pieces of work are called tasks. So multiple tasks make up a project.
Goals: The definition of a goal is the object of a person’s ambition or effort; an aim or desired result. One piece of that definition I want you to pay close attention to, and that is the aim or desired result. This corresponds to the project definition, which is carefully planned and designed to achieve a particular aim. That particular aim is a goal.
