The A-Trane 2025-06-20 - Vancouver International Jazz Festival 2025 Week 2:

As in time immemorial, the second A-Trane of this year's Vancouver International Jazz Festival features the artists performing the last weekend through the end of the festival on Canada Day! Kahil El'Zabar takes in theme with the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble and then we'll hear features for Christine Jensen, Nubya Garcia, Marquis Hill, the Dave Robbins Big Band (to be played by the VJO!), Eve Risser, Open Thread (with Peggy & Dylan!), Susie Ibarra, Dido & the Hand People (to be played by Feven Kidane!) and Isaiah Collier! And if you're not too overwhelmed, a lovely piece by the always amazing Pierre Bensusan at the Fox on July 2nd!
