"The Hanging Stranger" is a science fiction short story by one of the masters of the genre, Philip K Dick. It is a wonderful example of the author's skill at crafting a story that works on more than one levels and that you, as a reader, will remember for a very long time!!!

like no matter what I believe it's just as likely ...
Creepy. One thing about PKD is he doesn't write the story you're expecting. I am always left feeling a little weird after reading a story of his, like no matter what I believe it's just as likely that I am nuts, and there is a certain apathy that it's all to big to know or manage. This was no different. But good stuff.

Mr Dick has an extraordinary gift
You never know what he is going to come up with. when I see one of his stories I generally get it.

Loved this story it's short but very intriguing and mysterious. Even my kids loved it. I had to write a paper on it so I was thrilled that Amazon had it and if I didnt feel like reading it myself my Echo (Alexa) reads it for me. Philip Dick was very eccentric but a genius author. The TV series the Man in the High Castle is based on his book of the same name and it's great!
