The Human Recommendation is a weekly radio show on Flirt FM 101.3 in Galway city showcasing the best of indie & alternative music from Ireland and around the globe. But in this special interview side project, host Damien had to opportunity to chat to musician, cultural educator and advocate Adam Sturgeon from Status/Non Status and Ombiigizi.
Adam has been amplifying Indigenous voices and the need for cultural preservation. We had a thoughtful conversation about his music which has been short listed for the Polaris music prize, his culture and Indigenous futurisms.
The interview contains two tracks "Surely Travel" from his Status/Non Status record and "Ziibi" from Ombiigizi second album 'Shame'.
