Lance is a true California native and surf enthusiast, Lance Jacobs grew up in Manhattan Beach, studied at Bethany University in Santa Cruz, and spent a couple of years as Senior Pastor of a church on the coast. Though he loves being near the water, for the past 19 years, Lance, his wife Rachel, and two beautiful daughters have been living in Redding, CA, serving on the Leadership team at Bethel Church -- involved in local outreach as well as acting as overseer of the Second Year School of Ministry. Lance has a true passion to see lives transformed holistically by the Gospel, and has had experience pastoring people from many different spheres and sectors of society. Now he oversees the Bethel Twin View Campus, serves as Bethel’s City Team Director, and leads the Justice Collective, where he is able to create a space for justice minded people to connect, collaborate, learn and find ways of engaging in societal transformation efforts.
In recent years, the Lord has been sharpening his vision and clarifying to Lance that he is to express his passions for social justice and transformation through leadership in the anti-trafficking and fatherless space, as well as create a place of covering and training for like minded leaders in the Justice landscape. Lance has now launched such projects as NCAT (The Northern California Anti-Trafficking Coalition) and the Mentoring Collaborative in local schools, which works with youth who are at risk in partnership with school counselors and adminstrators. He is passionate about seeing an intersection between church and culture -- that the church would not stay inside its four walls, but would walk like Jesus did, embracing those that He embraced and bringing societal transformation and restoration just as He did.
What is the Wise-Life Blueprint? Unpasteurized discussions to uncover the pathways of life-wisdom, not sucking and giant-killing. The Wise-Life Blueprint is a platform for leaders, friends and reformers to story-tell, explore prophetic mystery, articulate the deep things of God and give practical tools. There is nothing more life-giving than a conversation wrought with substance and relevance—this is an attempt to share them.
Curtis Roberts is an Associate Pastor at Jesus Culture Church in Sacramento CA and is a graduate of Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, where he met his wife Bethany. He is a 6th generation pastor. He started this Podcast simply because he has a lot to say about a lot of things and because no-one takes the time to ask wise people good questions.
