Description

Rebecca Whisson, the founder of Octohoodie, calls herself an accidental entrepreneur.

Frustrated by how long it took to get her kids dressed and ready to go to the beach, and then having to repeat the exercise when hometime came,  she made two towel hoodies which they could simply throw over their swimming costumes and be warm and ready to go.

The hoodies were a hit. In six months she went from making Octohoodies for friends to exporting orders of 300 at a time to the US.

Rebeccah shared the lessons and challenges of her start-up journey with me on The Boss Mom Show.
