Description

A group of Summit County liquor stores has banded together to donate to the Family and Intercultural Resource Center and are challenging other retailers and businesses to do the same.

Antlers Liquor and Wine Cellar, Dillon Ridge Liquors, Loveland Pass Liquors and Market and Locals Liquors are donating $1,050 to Family and Intercultural Resource Center’s Food Assistance program.

“Work is slower coming and expenses are still high,” Locals Liquors owner Chris Carran wrote in an email to the Summit Daily. “Coinciding with the holidays only exacerbates the problem.”

She said the group wants to bring attention to the increased need during a slow start to the ski season and emphasize the importance of supporting the community by spending money locally.
