WHEN JESUS ASKS THE QUESTION :
What do you want me to do for you?
If you look at today's question, you need a little more information to understand what is happening at the moment Jesus asks this question. This happened when two blind men at the side of the road, outside of Jericho, were shouting at Jesus to have mercy on them. They would not stop shouting, even though the crowd was trying to shut them up. So, when Jesus stopped and asked this question, the response was simple, "we want our eyes to be opened" or take away our blindness. Jesus did this for them and from their response of following Him, I would say that their spiritual blindness was cured as well. There are some good reminders for this but if Jesus stood in front of you and asked this question, what would be your answer? And would you persist in asking Him even though the world around you was trying to shut you up? I am not suggesting that if we persist in prayer, we will get everything we want, but I am saying that if we believe Jesus can help our situation, whatever it is, then we need to keep asking Him and believing by faith that He hears us. The time for the answer will come, in the way that Jesus answers. So don't quit. Also don't miss that point that in this story Jesus was moved with great compassion for these two blind men. For you and me He also will have compassion as well, don't forget this. Jesus loves you.
