WHEN JESUS ASKS THE QUESTION : Who do you say that I am?

Today we start the summer series on the questions of Jesus, and He asked many of them in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Let's be honest that when Jesus would ask a question, He already knew the answer, and quite possibly knew what the person might even say in return. Our mind works in such a way that when we answer a question, it engages our mind and causes us to think more about what we believe and think. So, today's question is one of the most important, as Jesus is asking "who do people say that I am", and "who do you say that I am?" Literally "Who is Jesus?" This is something that is still being asked today, and the world has many answers to who they think Jesus is, (or was). A great teacher, a prophet of God, a good man, a fictional character made up of many different people's attributes, etc...None of those answers will get you to the truth, or to Jesus Christ. The one answer that Peter gives when asked "who do you say that I am", is the only true answer and the one that opens the heart to truth and saves people. Jesus is the Christ, or Anointed One. Jesus is Son of God. Jesus saves. So, as we start the questions today imagine that Jesus is standing in front of you with this question. How do you answer?
