God’s Word will cut into your soul and show you things you’ve never seen before. “The Word of God is alive and powerful” (Heb 4:12 ). You are warned to guard your thinking and the mentality of your soul. “Watch over your heart [soul] with all diligence, for from it flows the springs of life” (Prov 4:23 ). Satan is out to capture our minds, especially the minds of our kids. What’s your priority in life? Is it about you or about your sacrifice and service for the Lord? “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith” (2 Tim 4:7). This is the kind of soul God wants you to have—a complete soul.
