I had such a lovely time chatting to
Counselling Psychologist Jo Sheedy. I was trying to think about how to describe this conversation and it’s funny, in some ways it was surface level in the sense that we didn’t dig down into any one topic, but at the same time we still managed to go so deep. And I really hope that this conversation is both a reminder of the possibility to heal from wounds from trauma AND the crucial role that a supportive and compassionate and knowledgeable Psychologist or mental health clinician can play to guide that work.

Today’s episode is a hypnosis end of year reflection on
food, body and movement. Lord knows we could all use a little help with thosethings this time of year. Diet culture December is here and New Years Resolution January is right around the corner.
I wanted to provide a little safe space for you to reflect on your relationship with food, body and movement and set intentions that are in alignment with how YOU want to show up – not how the 60 billion dollar diet culture industry wants you to show up.
This hypnosis is great for you if you:
Feel like you have more growth in the area of food, body
or movement to be had
Want to reflect on the year in relation to these things
and/or
Want to set intentions for the new year ahead in
relation to these things
Are not sure where to go from here and are looking for some inner guidance
Enjoy!

I LOVE this time of year. Such a beautiful time to reflect on the year that was and set intentions for the year that will be. I created this hypnosis mostly for myself, but thought I would share it, just in case you lovely listeners also wanted to take the opportunity to reflect.
This is such a great one to:
Reflect on your year
Let go of what no longer serves you
Decide what energy you want to carry through to the new year
Access your inner guide for direction for the new year
Check-in periodically throughout the year to see if you're in alignment

Hi Legends!
Something that comes up a lot this time of year is SURVIVING the holiday season. Particularly when it comes to the topic of FOOD, BODIES and MOVEMENT. With all the occasions and celebrations
around the corner, Kelsey and I wanted to come together and chat about some of themost common questions we cover with clients this time of year. The key questions we covered were:
Help! What do I do when everyone around me is talking about diets or making judgemental comments about the food or bodies?
What if someone comments on my body? What do I do?
I feel like I have to restrict my eating in the lead up to events to make up for all the food I’ll be eating.
I get so stressed about the buffet style of eating and how many food options there are at celebrations. It’s so overwhelming.
I feel like I’m eating out or drinking more than I want to be during this time but I have so many social events - what do I do?
New Years intentions! Everyone around me sets big health or fitness goals. I don’t know what to do. I want to work toward better health but I don’t want to fall into the trap of all or
nothing thinking.
Enjoy!
