Description

"Coherence Rising with Liv" is a show that helps people transform and embody their ideal selves. People will be able to better define and understand their fundamental core values as the foundation to managing their emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual energies. The more clear we are with our values and what we want out of life and our relationships, the easier things are for us. The unconscious mind is also a topic that holds a starring role in this show. The goal is to become the most coherent being that we can, which is the inspiration for the name "Coherence Rising".

Each episode will focus on a topic with the intention of reflecting on how we might have been thinking about and responding to it, and then think about if there is anywhere reframing or behaviour adjustments can get us closer to our goals. Tools to help process the information and aid in growth will also be included, such as journaling, meditation, and breathing exercises.

Did you know that the placebo effect is attributed for around one-third of medical healings? It’s so significant that well performed scientific studies need to be conducted as double-blind and even triple-blind studies. This episode talks about how our repetitive thoughts and emotions create our neural-pathways, which become our habits, which become our personality, which pave the road to our future. In this episode, I talk about the basics of the theory of unconscious masochism (also known as being “addicted to suffering”), how it can drain the energy from your life, ways we can reduce the unconscious masochism in ourselves through leveraging both top-down and bottom-up therapy approaches, and then I invite you to reflect on areas in your life where you feel unhappy with, where you might be playing a role. In doing so, you can shed light on the power that you have to influence things, and make the unconscious into the conscious. In this episode, I start to talk about our personal energy fields, the unified energy field that connects all of us, and how being more in tune with our energy field can help us heal and improve our physical health, and make decisions more aligned with our hearts desires rather than logic or fear. In this episode, I talk about both the immediate danger type of fear, and the unhealthy, chronic fear that can plague our mental, emotional, and physical health. What does fear do to our energy, and what can we do to reduce the fear in our lives? The mind can do such a great job protecting us, which is what it’s designed to do evolutionarily speaking. But it can definitely go overboard. And what does Traditional Chinese Medicine principles say about fear and the Kidney meridian? Listen to this episode to find out! In this episode, I talk about my journey navigating perfectionism, and how it drained a lot of my emotional, mental, and physical energy in different areas of my life— in my career, in my relationships and love life, and even in creating content for this podcast. I tried something different in this episode. I had no script. All I had was an inspiration to share a recent A-ha moment that I had after watching a scene of Ted Lasso. The desire to just effing enjoy life. I realized that I’ve spent so much of my life over-analyzing and worrying about things, and trying to control things and make everything perfect. It was such a drain. I tried something new for this episode and did not make a script, and had way more fun recording it. I hope that you enjoy it too, and get inspired to think about areas in your own life where you can reduce friction and unlock more creative energy! My podcast episodes are also transcribed and can be read on the Substack platform at substack.com/@coherencerisingFollow me on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/coherencerisingFind my meditation tracks on the free Insight Timer App at https://insighttimer.com/coherencerising where you can access thousands of tracks for freeYou can listen to the Coherence Rising with Liv on Substack, or on other podcast platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and more! In this episode, I talk about a very important lesson that I’ve learned during Dr. Joe Dispenza’s week-long retreat in Denver, Colorado. That the people who attend the retreats and experience healing and significant life improvements meditate with the intention of changing who they are. Why change? Because, what’s self-improvement, self-development, and growth, without change? Do we want to change our habits and become healthier? We need to change. Do we want to better our time management so that we can up-skill and grow in our professional careers, have a larger impact, and have more wealth to live our dream lives? We need to change. Are we always finding ourselves attracting the same kind of partner, and the same kind of relationships because of who we are as a person, and what we accept, allow, and hold onto but we wish we would attract a different kind of partner, and have a different kind of relationship experience? Or perhaps we want to be in our current relationships, but we know the love and experiences can be so much better together. There can be way less fights, and way more good times. We need to change. If you enjoyed this episode, and think someone that you know would like to change their lives for the better, please share and subscribe to my podcast! :)My podcast episodes are also transcribed and can be read on the Substack platform at substack.com/@coherencerisingFollow me on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/coherencerisingFind my meditation tracks on the free Insight Timer App at https://insighttimer.com/coherencerising where you can access thousands of tracks for freeYou can listen to the Coherence Rising with Liv on Substack, or on other podcast platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and more! Intro: 0:00 to 1:50 (skip to 1:50 if you want to skip the intro to the breath in subsequent listens)Breathwork session: 1:50 - 7:40 (continuous triactive breath until finish)Sometimes we just need to take a few minutes to ground ourselves. To get out of our mind, and into our body. It can be so easy for our thoughts to feel like a broken record and cause us to emotionally spiral. It’s time to take just a few moments for ourselves. To give ourselves space, to ground our bodies, to restore our energy back to ourselves. You can do this sitting or lying down. If you’re sitting, try to sit up with your back straight, feet flat on the floor, hands resting on your thighs. Feel your feet on the ground beneath you. Feel the seat supporting your body. If you’re lying down, feel the back of your body supported. You are safe. You are supported. Put your awareness on where your body is supported. We’re going to be doing a tri-active breath. All the breathing is through the mouth and not through the nose. This consists of two inhales through the mouth, first breath in through the belly, second breath into your chest, followed by an exhale through the mouth. This will be continuous for five minutes from start to finish with guidance along the way by me. The triactive breath will be released at the end. [Update: I’ve since re-branded to “Coherence Rising”]In this episode, I talk about one of the major differences are between people who know who they are and what they want, and people who have a way harder time making decisions.I also talk about two common ways that people arrive to their fundamental core values, whether it’s through their cultural or religious upbringing, or through their own seeking in a more non-secular approach. Lastly, I talk about how differences in fundamental core values can cause modern dating to seem confusing, and the importance of narrowing down your relationship values so that you can find someone who’s compatible with you.
