In this episode, I talk about the basics of the theory of unconscious masochism (also known as being “addicted to suffering”), how it can drain the energy from your life, ways we can reduce the unconscious masochism in ourselves through leveraging both top-down and bottom-up therapy approaches, and then I invite you to reflect on areas in your life where you feel unhappy with, where you might be playing a role. In doing so, you can shed light on the power that you have to influence things, and make the unconscious into the conscious.
