Five minute breathwork session
Description
Intro: 0:00 to 1:50 (skip to 1:50 if you want to skip the intro to the breath in subsequent listens)
Breathwork session: 1:50 - 7:40 (continuous triactive breath until finish)
Sometimes we just need to take a few minutes to ground ourselves. To get out of our mind, and into our body. It can be so easy for our thoughts to feel like a broken record and cause us to emotionally spiral. It’s time to take just a few moments for ourselves. To give ourselves space, to ground our bodies, to restore our energy back to ourselves.
You can do this sitting or lying down. If you’re sitting, try to sit up with your back straight, feet flat on the floor, hands resting on your thighs. Feel your feet on the ground beneath you. Feel the seat supporting your body. If you’re lying down, feel the back of your body supported. You are safe. You are supported. Put your awareness on where your body is supported.
We’re going to be doing a tri-active breath. All the breathing is through the mouth and not through the nose. This consists of two inhales through the mouth, first breath in through the belly, second breath into your chest, followed by an exhale through the mouth. This will be continuous for five minutes from start to finish with guidance along the way by me. The triactive breath will be released at the end.
