Knowing even the basics of putting a training plan together is a powerful tool, even when working with a coach, using a prewritten plan, or using a training app. No coach, plan or app knows you as well as you do and every athlete should be the master of their own training. By being intimately involved in building your training plan, knowing what's in it and why, you’ll be able to make more informed decisions about how to adapt your training plan when you need to.
