Ca: A la falda d'una serra suau, prop d'un petit poble de Catalunya, s'estenia una granja antiga.
En: At the foot of a gentle mountain range, near a small village in Catalunya, stretched out an old farm.

Ca: Allí, rodejada de vinyes i camps daurats, se celebrava la Castanyada.
En: There, surrounded by vineyards and golden fields, the Castanyada was celebrated.

Ca: Júlia, una dona amb somriure càlid i mans fortes, es preparava per a la festa.
En: Júlia, a woman with a warm smile and strong hands, was preparing for the festival.

Ca: Era la rostitora de castanyes de la vila, un paper que havia heretat del seu mentor recentment desaparegut.
En: She was the village's chestnut roaster, a role she had inherited from her recently departed mentor.

Ca: El cel, aquell matí de tardor, amenaçava.
En: The sky that autumn morning was threatening.
