• 0:30 - In Hebrews 11:32-12:2, we read a retelling of how, in the midst of their tremendous suffering, the heroes of faith found… joy!
• 2:48 - For the guys, to live the resurrected life is to recognise that we, the people of God today, are connected in fellowship to the heroes of faith of the past. The same Spirit that was in those people in the past – that’s in us today as well! We should not be surprised that someone has walked the very path of suffering that we are called to walk on today. And knowing that faithful men and women have gone through suffering and come out on the other side in new life brings us a deep sense of joy.  
• 6:24 - So how does our embrace of joy transform us as the people of God? For the guys, Hebrews calls us to dance and celebrate! – not in unthinking revelry, but in a way that is, paradoxically, informed by our mourning.
