E29: Do photos disrupt the feeling of safety?
Description
One of the most delicious and confusing questions I have debated a million times is how photography affects people. Especially in their authenticity. We tend to pose, put on a mask, morph into the image we want to create.... These are natural reactions.
This in itself isn't a problem.
But what if you're a facilitator and business owner. You want to show what goes down in your containers. You want to give a feel for what happens in your workshops. A photo speaks volumes.
And this is where it gets tricky in my world.... does the act of taking a photograph create hiccups or disruption in people's natural healing processes? Does it take away from the safety that is so important in these sessions?
And perhaps it's not just the taking of photos but the potential of those photos being shared? I dive into these questions. I'd love to hear how you feel about this.
One love 🖤… Please remember to subscribe!
