我们之前在EP100的时候聊了:「The right way to praise and correct others如何在职场上用英文称赞别人、以及如何礼貌地给别人建议」。

今天我们就要来讲这个主题的「反面」:

当别人称赞你、鼓励你、或给你建议(feedback)时,你该怎么自然又专业地回复?

这些能力在 西方职场文化里真的非常重要。

Card 1: Core Mindset & Formula (核心思维与公式)

� Cultural Context (文化差异):In Western workplaces, excessive modesty ("No, I'm not that good") can be seen as a lack of confidence or even dismissing the other person's judgment.在西方职场,过分谦虚(“哪里哪里,我很差”)会被视为缺乏自信,甚至是否定对方的眼光。Key Principle: Accepting praise = Respecting their observation.核心原则: 接受称赞 = 尊重对方的观察。

Acknowledge (承认/接受)

Context (补充说明背景 / 归功团队 / 提及未来目标)



Card 2: Team & Public Settings (团队与公开场合)

� Context: Project Reviews, Town Halls, All-hands meetings.

� Key: Don't take all the credit, but don't reject it either. Share the spotlight.

(不独占功劳,也不过度推辞,将高光时刻分享给团队。)

"Thanks! The whole team put in a lot of effort. I’m glad we delivered this together."(谢谢!整个团队都很努力,我很高兴我们一起完成这件事。)

� Context: Praise for Work Ethic, Communication, or Crisis Management.

� Key: Show confidence without arrogance. Mention your deliberate effort.

(展现“自信但不自大”,并强调你有“刻意练习”。)

Work Ethic (工作态度):"Thank you! I’ve been trying to be more proactive this quarter, so I’m glad it shows."(谢谢!这季度真的有刻意练习更主动,很高兴您看到了。)

Communication (沟通):"Thanks! I’ve been trying to make messages simpler."(谢谢!我最近有在练习让信息更简洁。)

� Context: Ideas/Insights praised, or praise from a VP/Director.

� Key: Emphasize logic and maintain a professional presence.

Ideas (想法):"Thanks! That idea came from a customer insight we found last week."(谢谢!灵感来自我们上周发现的客户洞察。)

From Boss/VP (高管):"Thank you — really appreciate the feedback. I’ll keep building on this direction."(谢谢,真的很感谢反馈。我会沿着这个方向继续努力。)

High Impact (高影响力):"Thanks! That means a lot coming from you."(谢谢!从您口中听到这句话真的很有意义。)
