KEY TAKEAWAYS
Natalie explains how her early career in teaching and personal experiences as a single parent shaped her mission to support other parents through coaching.
Parent coaching is not about criticism but about co-creating solutions based on each family's unique values and strengths, much like having a personal trainer for your parenting journey.
Children's challenging behaviors are forms of communication; understanding the root causes helps parents respond calmly rather than react impulsively.
Emotional regulation is crucial for parents, especially single parents who don't have a partner to share the load; small moments of mindful self-care can make a big difference.
Natalie highlights the similarities between toddlers and teenagers in their emotional development and the importance of patience and calm responses during outbursts.
BEST MOMENTS
"One day my story will be someone else's survival guide."
"Parent coaching is your support person, not someone coming in to tell you what you're doing wrong."
"Children act out because they're trying to communicate an unmet need, it really has nothing to do with you."
"Regulating our emotions is super, super important β it changes how quickly a difficult situation can be resolved."
"Even washing dishes can be a moment of self-care if you're present in the moment and mindful."

ABOUT THE PODCAST
Do I Really Hate Men?
Interesting question and one I have asked myself many times. This is not an 'I hate men' podcast neither is it just an account of my divorce and the many awful events leading up to and during it. This podcast is a safe space to delve into what happens when relationships end, it provides guidance on how to carry on being a functioning adult and/or Single Mum when you feel broken inside.Β
This podcast provides hope sprinkled with humour, at times its emotional at times inspiring and at times sad. I have a message to share with women around the world, come join me and your global sisters for a weekly dose of Superhero Mum inspiration and stories.

NOTE β I need you to know that I don't hate men! It's important that you know there are many great men out there. Many fantastic fathers and single fathers trying hard to do a great job. I know little about the struggles of single fathers; however, I presume they are numerous common issues we share with these amazing men who strive to do the right thing by their children.Β
