Ep.023 - Hot Saucy Kitty
Description
TRIGGER WARNING: Depression, mental illness, suicide, drug addiction, child abuse, abuse.
Welcome to the Sex With My Ex podcast!
This week’s episode starts off with a “What’s Hot and What’s Not?” segment that is all kinds of ridiculous and all kinds of steamy. Johnson and Kitty talk about the most highly recommended spread for your toast, an aggravating baby blue Aston Martin, unexpected body hair growth and Kitty gets slightly carried away when describing a delicious recent sexcapade.
THEN…gosh, this is one of those episodes that really hits you in the heart.
Kitty had no idea Johnson was throwing that hot sauce on her.
And, boy, did he douse it goooood. Real good. He sauced her up so much there are still remnants of sticky, spicy sauce on the walls.
This week our special guest is the one and only ever-purring Kitty.
He asks the realest of questions and, in true SWME podcast fashion, Kitty shows up completely. She gives incredibly honest answers about her upbringing, her struggles with mental health and self-worth.
Johnson asks about her insight into shame, liberation, connection and overcoming major life challenges. We hear about how Kitty was exposed to abuse, mental illness and addiction at an early age and spent many years battling extremely low self-worth and self-esteem issues. As a teenager and young adult she struggled with suicidal thoughts and was in and out of depression.
After her second baby she was also diagnosed with pre and post-natal depression and was supported to identify post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms from living in a home with family violence as a teenager.
We really get to know Kitty and see why she is so passionate about the work she does now- as part of the podcast and business she runs with Johnson, as well as in her holistic wellness business and youth work. She shares with us some helpful pieces of advice, from her own lived experience, and also from now being in a space where she supports clients in their holistic wellness.
For this episode we invite you to open your hearts and take parts of what Kitty shares to integrate into your own life.
We all have had struggles at some point in our lives and it is a core value with SWME to create safe spaces where everybody is welcomed and free to be themselves.
If you are mentally battling right now then this is your reminder that you are not alone. There is a list of support contact details below. Please reach out and seek safety with a trusted person in your life or get in touch with Kitty and Johnson.
The episode is wrapped up with another great round of “Just Quiz on My Face”, as well as some yummy listener feedback.
Kitty & Johnson are now offering online coaching and in person workshops in their new business.
