Rejections are inevitable during this process and learning to manage the emotions from rejections is important. We offer 5 steps to handle rejections from job interviews.
- Acknowledge the pain from rejections: because they do cause pain in our brain
- Manage your emotions: whether it’s sadness, anger, frustrations, learn to manage emotions so that you can move through
- Ask for feedback or observations: from the interviewers, coworkers, superiors
- Learn from rejections: understand the reasons you get rejected
- Take positive actions to develop or change: develop solid action plans to move you forward, make the changes you need to at work, whether your approach, your behavior, the way you communicate. Take actions to change and it will be beneficial when the next opportunities come.
