Independent Woman - Financially and Otherwise
Description
For the past decade, more and more Americans are living the single life, whether by choice or by circumstance. 45% of adults over the age of 18 are currently single and this number is rising every year. As it happens, the majority of these singletons are women. And these women are managing their own finances independently of a life partner.
In this episode, our friend Marla Taner discusses her journey towards financial independence as a single person. A lifetime of good money habits allowed her to create a solid financial foundation that gave her the freedom to live life on her own terms. Yet, she also discusses the challenges and regrets she’s had along the way. Although she hasn't found her life partner yet, she has been able to build other kinds of loving relationships. And she demonstrates how a single person can live a full and rich life by building a wide range of friendships.
