Description

What is strategic foresight? How can it contribute to shaping Europe's digital future? What role should it play in politics? Three high-ranking experts discuss these and other exciting questions: Dr. Florence Gaub is Deputy Director of the European Union Institute for Security Studies; Professor Maximilian Terhalle is Visiting Professor of Strategic Studies at King's College in London; Dr. Johannes Gabriel is the founder and CEO of the Berlin-based company Foresight Intelligence and Adjunct Professor at the Johns Hopkins University SAIS in Europe.

This is the first of a total of three episodes that have been produced within the context of the Alfred Herrhausen Society's "Digital Europe 2030" project. The project uses methods of strategic foresight to address the question of how Europe’s public sphere and its digital sovereignty can be strengthened under the conditions of increasing digitalisation in all areas of life. To this end, an interdisciplinary group of experts was convened to construct possible scenarios for the future of Europe, which can be read here: https://bit.ly/398iDwN
