Description

Long before the Covid-19 pandemic began, the world was already undergoing alarming developments in the postwar multilateral order. Whether it be a new American isolationism or the emergence of illiberal tendencies within Europe. And now? What does Covid-19 means for the global order? In the first English-language episode of the podcast “Weitergedacht”, Nathalie Tocci and Charles Kupchan discuss this question. Nathalie Tocci is a political scientist serving as director of the Istituto Affari Internazionali (a think tank for international relations based in Rome) and Special Advisor to High Representative of the European Union Josep Borrell. Charles Kupchan is Professor of International Relations at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and former Director of European Affairs at the National Security Council of the United States. The host of this podcast is Annika Witzel, a radio journalist for the German broadcast stations WDR and Deutschlandfunk.
The podcast series „Think forwards" is a project of the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft.
