Description
Stop and Snack’ is WXV&U Health’s first mini-podcast nutrition series founded by senior nursing students Olivia Frizzell and Caitlin Fisher in the first group on the radio station this semester. The series is continued by Grace Borell, Grace Pappanicholaou, and Kristen Marra. The goal of the series is to educate listeners about nutrition and nutrition resources available on college campuses. In this podcast, Jessica Pellicciotta, a registered dietician/nutritionist from the Office of Health Promotion at Villanova University, is interviewed. Jessica gives advice to navigate eating on a college campus and the abundance of nutrition resources available at Villanova. Also, one of the podcast hosts, Kristen Marra, shares her personal experiences as a nursing student who maintains a gluten-free diet on her college campus. Kristen offers information about a gluten-free diet, the foods that she needs to avoid, and how she successfully eats gluten-free on campus.
