Description

Stop the Stigma: Nontraditional Students is a podcast created by senior nursing students Shannon Foley, Margaret Yahiro, and Kylie Barton, class of 2023. They hope to educate listeners about nontraditional students and their experiences on college campuses when integrated with traditional students. In this podcast, they interviewed two students who experienced nontraditional pathways to receive their degrees – Nick Langan, WXV&U Health Operations Manager and graduate of Villanova University’s College of Professional Studies in 2020, and Cathleen Skupien, a current Villanova University nursing student who transitioned from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Express track to the traditional undergraduate track to accommodate for her additional obligations outside of school. Also, the director of the Office of Student Involvement, JJ Brown, provided a quote encouraging nontraditional students to get involved on campus.
