Tuesday, December 19th Southern California 7 Day Surf Forecast
Description
Here's your So Cal 7-day surf forecast starting tomorrow:
Wednesday the 20th will bring a few fun waves in the morning from a lingering WSW/W swell. As we move into the afternoon and evening, get ready for a new round of WNW swell. Average breaks are predicted to be waist-shoulder high, while winter standouts will run up to 1-2′ overhead. Do bear in mind that strong SE/S winds developing across the region may cause problematic conditions.
Thursday the 21st sees a strong storm hitting, creating questionable conditions. Despite this, west-facing breaks should still run head high.
Friday the 22nd wears the storm off somewhat, leaving us with chest to head high waves on west-facing breaks.
Saturday the 23rd will bring chest-high waves, mostly from NW wind swell.
Sunday the 24th shows promise, with chest to head high waves as ground swell becomes dominant.
Monday the 25th will drop off slightly to chest high waves at west-facing breaks.
To wrap up the forecast, Tuesday the 26th promises head high to slightly overhead waves at west facing breaks, giving you a good reason to hit the beach post-Christmas.
In terms of the best days to surf, Sunday the 24th and Tuesday the 26th are looking like prime picks due to the ground swell dominance and the above-average surf height.
