Tuesday, January 2nd Southern California 7 Day Surf Forecast
Description
Here's your So Cal 7-day surf forecast starting tomorrow, Wednesday the 3rd. Expect a solid new WNW swell with breezy onshore winds building during the day. Surf will be in the chest-head high range by sundown, with standout spots showing 2-3' overhead. Coming into Thursday the 4th, conditions will improve with pockets of offshore northerly and variable winds, but expect it to be a bit more rugged after the wind surge.
Moving into Friday the 5th, expect the WNW swell to fade, with leftover surf in the waist-chest high range at average breaks and swell size gradually increasing by sundown. Moving onto the weekend, Saturday the 6th is looking up as a potent NW swell is on track. Expect widespread surf in the waist-chest-shoulder high range, with some spots possibly going larger.
As we roll into Sunday the 7th, expect the swell to continue with 2-4' overhead at west facing breaks. There will also be a wind swell beginning to fill in. Come Monday the 8th, expect at least head-high surf from the wind swell, with moments of a few feet overhead, coupled with fading ground swell. By Tuesday the 9th, conditions look to be about head high to slightly overhead at west facing breaks.
Highlighting the best days to hit the waves, Wednesday the 3rd and Thursday the 4th stand out with their robust WNW swells and improved wind conditions.
Don't wait, get out there and catch those waves.
