WXV&U Health: Don't Sleep on Sleep
Description
Don’t Sleep on Sleep is a Podcast created by Senior Nursing students, Tim Jacoboski, Jasmine Huang and Kenneth Tan. They hope to spread awareness on consequences of sleep deprivation and promote healthy sleeping habits in college students. In this Podcast, they interviewed their friend Josh Tsai, a senior at Villanova, about his sleeping routine and his relationship with sleep. Afterwards, Stacy Andes, Director of the Office of Health Promotion at Villanova, provided statistics on hours of sleep students get at Villanova, Tips and Tricks on how to better one's sleep routine and resources students can use on campus. Lastly, Dr. Elizabeth Dowdell provided research on the effects of College Students Sleeping with Technology. In addition to those interviewed, they have also gathered data from a Cross Sectional Study on Sleep Quality and Quantity among US Medical Students and information on the correlation between sleep and health from the Center for Disease Control.
