As we shared the other day, we're excited to bring Marshall Doyle, a business turnaround expert, to the table to talk about how to move your business to its next phase...i.e., where do you want it to go and understanding the how in this current business environment.
In the webinar you will learn how to identify opportunities caused by economic events to capitalize on and grow your business. Marshall will share a case study of a deal he did during the recession that helped a struggling company and offered him an opportunity to expand his services and save some jobs. He will explain how he is working to buy 5 businesses right now that Covid-19 is making easier to get a great deal and terms. It will be just one example.of how to pivot during times of challenge.
Marshall Doyle serves as the current CEO of Cal-Cert Company; the largest independent provider of calibration services serving the construction materials industry in the U.S. Under his leadership, he has grown this worldwide company nearly 2,000% since he took control in 1999. His innovative approach to business growth and dedication to his craft and team have propelled him into a highly respected position in the industry. A significant part of the growth of Cal-Cert was attributed to acquiring several smaller providers throughout the U.S.
The success of Cal-Cert Company led Marshall to his passion for business leadership. This motivated him to purchase over 10 businesses and help start a few others in the last 15 years. He has experience in property management, calibration, quality systems, hotel operations, real estate investment, software development, bookkeeping services, and business coaching. He is part of a family of entrepreneurs who spend more time discussing business strategies than anyone else he knows. His friends often ask him “What business did you buy this week?” He was awarded the 2019 SBA Small Business Person of the Year for Oregon, which he humbly accepted on behalf of his outstanding team at Cal-Cert.
He is most known for his creative approach to acquiring small businesses, which he now teaches and mentors for small businesses throughout the U.S. He has developed a proprietary process working with his daughter and partner, Samantha, at Small Business Coaching, LLC. They have a mission to help small business owners access the training and resources of larger businesses. In the words of Marshall’s first business coach, Dr. Thomas Jones, “They believe that every business owner should experience joy and wealth through small business ownership!” Marshall specializes in helping business owners with estimated values below $500,000 develop a plan to sell their companies and coaching them through the entire process. His years of experience acquiring, operating and transitioning small businesses feeds his love for the “Business of business”. He is always open to speaking at events, teaching and learning more about business growth through acquisition.

BUILDING YOUR BUSINESS IN UNCERTAIN TIMES
What's it all about?
THE QUADRANT MANAGER: Time Management Effectiveness. Increase Your Productivity by A Factor of Four! Being “active” and being “productive” are worlds apart. Many professionals are very active and have a lot of activity going on around them daily, yet when the daily dust settles, they seem to generate less bottom-line results than others. The reason is simple merely being “active” is not the same as being “productive”!
The Quadrant Manager System allows for work to be managed from an aspect of not what one would like to get done, but more so from an aspect of what is important and must be done. The system is simple yet powerful as it keeps all important work areas moving forward at the same time.

We will meet/conduct these sessions on Zoom, and once you register, we will send you the Zoom link you will use to join each session. In conjunction to this course, there will be a private Facebook page for all members to share questions, insights, recipes and pictures. Also, you will be sent an invitation to access a dropbox folder that will house any forms, links and recipes for the classes.
After you register, you will receive a questionnaire about your level of knowledge in gluten free cooking. Also in this questionnaire, we would like to know exactly what type of topics and/or questions you may have about this subject so that Chef Vedam can address them.
If you have any questions, you may contact Chef Vedam Clementi @ vedam@VeeCulinary.com or call him @ 678-754-2438.

1) if they are GF by choice... go for it and just make sure anything you are using is GF. Check ingredients... knowing there is great GF product as well as subpar GF product. GF does not mean weight-loss can be high in carbs
2) If they are sensitive... find out how they are sensitive and address that what is their commitment to it (that could change over time)
3) GF because of a medical diagnosis... what is the diagnosis and whaat is their commitment to it. Celiac Disease (May is Celiac Awareness Month) Auto-immune disease And again, if they do not address it 100% the probability of getting another AI is 50% greater

The CARES Act continues to be a moving target and when we spoke with Scott on Thursday there are now issues with including 1099 contractors. But we're sure know more will come between now and Tuesday and word is there's more to come from Washington.
About Scott:
A Partner at Strombeck, Scott Michael is either ‘go go go’ or ‘no no no.’ He’s got the energy of the Energizer Bunny with none of the fluff, enough so that he’s been recognized as CFO of the Year by the Orlando Business Journal. Scott has more than two decades of experience providing advisory and accounting services to thriving businesses, from small startups to multi-billion dollar international organizations. He also owned a software Company that had hundreds of business clients using the software that he wrote with his own hands.
Scott’s energy, optimism and technical background makes him very effective at applying technology to business issues. While many in our profession spend much of their time (and their clients’ time) on the rearview mirror (calculating historical performance), Scott utilizes technology to make those activities happen in near-real time. Having historical information gathered in near-real time gives the organization a scoreboard that not only presents the score (cash, profitability, receivables, etc…) as of right now; but also what the score will be in the future based on all the intelligence in the organization.
Scott earned his Masters of Science in Accounting from Liberty University and his BA in Accounting & Finance from Cedarville University.
Scott’s zeal for the community keeps him actively involved on the Board of Directors for the West Orange Chamber of Commerce, and he also serves as the Sergeant-at-Arms for the Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips in Orlando, Florida.

Join Chef Deb Cantrell (Savor Culinary) and Larry Lynch for an hour of "how to" work your business in these tumultuous times.
Chef Deb will share her methods and suggestions to help you navigate and scale your business in the marketplace.
Webinar participants will learn:
Futurecasting what’s coming in the culinary marketplace Why Wait. How to create revenue based on your brand right now Planning your new and improved business for maximum impact and money
About Chef Deb: I can relate to you on every level. I started at the bottom with nothing and worked my way to the top and I have done it over and over again with five different culinary businesses to include a restaurant, catering company and three different personal chef companies in three different cities. I became a serial entrepreneur because I wanted to create a life where I could spend more time with my family. I also knew that with a certain income level, I would be able to provide my children with a college education and be able to go on vacations and live a more freedom-filled life.I'm assuming you ditched the 9-5 grind for the same reasons.
I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on mentors and coaching to help develop my businesses and I have learned from trial and error. Now I want to share that same knowledge with you so that you can be living your dreams and building a business you love.
That's why I have developed the Chef Deb brand where I help chefs grow their culinary business. It started back in 2014, when chefs started asking me to help them build the culinary business of their dreams.
Today the Chef Deb brand is all about about inspiring chefs and other culinary leaders to expand their culinary business vision, become leaders in their industry, and promote whole food choices in their business practices. I want to help and I'm willing to share my knowledge and resources on all things related to the business of culinary with chefs nationwide.
I understand how hard it is to pick up the phone and ask for help. I'm here if you need me.
