Today's guest is 1st Runner up for Elite Nationals, Ansley Lyons.    Her platform is Ansley’s Grateful Giving or A.G.G. Ansley’s Grateful Giving is an organization that finds ways to give back to the community.

I have a passion to serve others. Through my personal platform, I have been able to service my community in many different ways with over 700 hours of service. One of my service projects is raising funds for the Susan G Komen Organization. Through my work with SGK, I have raised over $15,000 for breast cancer research. I spent many hours writing letters asking for donations, contacting sponsors, setting up garage sales, writing thank you notes, and educating donors about the early warning signs of Breast Cancer. This has helped me learn the most effective way to ask others for donations and the process that works the best is to get repeat donors. Not only have I learned how to raise money, but I have also learned how to work on teams of volunteers from across the country. I have served on the Youth Core during three different Susan G. Komen Three Day walks.
