Darcy Castro is our guest today, she is the Winner of the Elite State Pageant for Georgia and 2nd runner up for Elite National. 

My advocacy platform is intensely personal. It is drawn from my own experience as a child whose family was inflicted and interrupted with my father's brain tumor diagnosis. I know from personal experience, and from reaching out to survey families in the same situation, that the needs of children of parents with a brain tumor have largely gone unrecognized. Thankfully, much effort and resources are pledged to research and patient services, but I am working to ensure the emotional needs of kids in these families are being met.

As a Pageant Platform Elite national titleholder, I will use that solid foundation to speak my truth for these children. The families that need my special kind of advocacy are small in numbers, but the need is extremely great. This title will be my amplifier to significantly increase my network to get this tool into the hands of those who desperately need it. 

Competing in pageants is hard work.  Sometimes people from the outside don't see how much goes into preparing, practicing and if you win...well that's even more work.  That is why I created the Pageant Success Journal, a daily planner that spans over 90 days and includes space for a vision board, goals, expenses, sponsor information and so much more!
